This was from an eBay auction. Seller has 100% feedback and pics of the warranty card and box so I am pretty sure its real. The watch was purchased in 2007. I was curious what the real experts felt. Thanks! Here was the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... MEWAX%3AIT |

Check that the papers match the watch, but real. |

Looks real but the SOH replica is VERY good so, as Roff says, check the s/n matches the paperwork. Assuming it does, then no worries. |

This is my first Ling (can't wait!) so out of curiosity where would I find the s/n on the watch itself? Thanks again! |

The serial no. on the warranty card and COSC certificate appears to be 1091108. So make sure this number is engraved on the caseback. I can't see it in the photos, but this is probably due to that fact that the serial nos are often very faintly engraved compared to the other details |

Look at http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... e_126.html On the case back pic, the serial number of this watch is part hidden by the http://www.breitlingsource.com label Let us know how you get on. |

Nice...thanks. I blew up the picture from eBay about 600% and could not make out a serial number. Hopefully its just that its very faint and tough to make out. The pictures are defininely not high quality. I will certainly report back my findings! A question...would REALLY sophisticated replicas/fakes have a fake s/n engraving that matches a fake certificate or is this even too advanced for the makers of these fake watches? |

You can order some fakes with specific serial numbers. |

OK so my new/used SuperOcean Heritage 46 arrived this morning and looks great considering it was originally purchased in 10/2007. The seller claimed to have had the watch serviced by Breitling in 2010 but there is no receipt for that. I wonder if I can call Breitling and give them the s/n and ask if it was serviced then? Anyway the s/n on the watchback does match the certificate and both the mesh bracelet and Ocean Racer brown strap fit my wrist perfectly...after a little micro adjusting. The only strange thing at first was that the bracelet clasp is angled. I thought this was an issue but then I realized this bracelet clasp is supposed to be that way! The bronze color is really gorgeous and I wanted to snap off a few pics. Thanks to all who helped with this and I am now officially a Breitling owner!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Congratulations! If you call BUSA in CT they should be able to give you the service history (assuming that this is a US watch). Also ask them what the problem was - a 2007 watch shouldn't have needed a service that quickly (and it can't be an older watch) - that's very early for this model (in fact I thought it was a Basel 2008 introduction). |

Thanks Roff. He told me there was nothing wrong with the watch....just a check-up. I will call on Monday. By the way sorry for the troilet/paper in the background...I was hiding from the wife while taking the pics. She doesn't appreciate how anyone could post pics of a new watch on a public message board!!! ![]() |

Quote: A question...would REALLY sophisticated replicas/fakes have a fake s/n engraving that matches a fake certificate or is this even too advanced for the makers of these fake watches? It would be very easy to forge the paperwork to match the caseback s/n but no one does. Even in the counterfeit trade, it appears there is a line which is never crossed.
