It looks OK to me but definitely wait for some more opinions as the Steelfish has one of the best fakes out there. |

The reason I ask is the difference to the right of the date window, and lack of detail in the wings on the reverse. The date window thing I matched to a fake. http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... =3&t=18207 |

Ok I just went back to the replica site and it seems they are using genuine watch stock picks. The Blackbird was right. ![]() |

As a note, the pics on the BS watch model page are incorrect I believe for the 42mm fish. As the OP points out and is confirmed in the Chronolog for 2005 (the sole year of production for this watch) the minute ticks to the right of the date window should be absent. |

Hey guys, I am the buyer of this watch and really appreciate all of your input. I do have a question for you though: Have you seen any steelfish 42mm fakes? I have heard from multiple places that the steelfish is the most replicated Breitling, but I have yet to see a picture of a 42mm replica online. I have seen a few 44mm Fish, but none of the smaller variation. It makes sense, seeing that the 44mm has been produced since 2006-present day, as opposed to the one year that the 42mm version was produced. Thanks! Cam |

I've looked and have never seen one. And here is why - the watch was only produced for 2005. In 2005 the replica industry had not made some of the strides they have since. They weren't as quick to react to a new model and the quality was much lower. So it wasn't until the X-Plus was established that the fakes started. In fact many replica sites refer to their Steelfish fakes as "Steelfish X-Plus." Anyway it's all moot at this point - your watch is 100% absolutely REAL, dude. Enjoy it. |

Hey guys, I was just looking at a picture of the caseback that the seller sent to me and I noticed that this model does not have a caseback number that I can see. The A17360 is clear, but there is no serial number below it.....can anyone shine some light on this? Here is the watch I am buying: ![]() and here is the caseback of a 42mm that was for sale here on BS a little while ago: ![]() Thanks again. Cam |
