So do all Breitling deployant/deployment clasps have a raised logo? If not is this one legit? Pretty sure the band is not Breitling, but that does not concern me at the current price.

Thanks!

Only newer ones are raised. Would want to see a better photo of the clasp to call that one.

Can't be sure.

Really hard to tell - looks like an older version, but with the better fake deployants these days, you've almost got to 'feel' them - and even then, you won't get 100% either way.

If you have a decent relationship with your local AD can you expect discounts on straps, buckles, etc. after the purchase. Or is like razors and blades...give em the razor and stick it to them for the blades

What about the quality of a fake deployment if I take a chance, assuming it is a very low price? Will it function well and be comfortable or are they junk all the way around? Worth taking a chance or save my pennies and make sure I get a 100% "real" one.

Fakes are fakes, don't expect anyone to recommend them (and it's against the rules to discuss them).

You can get a discount from the AD, but not as comprehensive as if you buy with a watch (less $ margin with lower cost items).

Sorry about that...did not know the rule. I was actually not looking for a recommendation, just sort of wondering if one were to roll the dice on something we are not sure about (assuming price was minimal) and it turned out to not be the real McCoy if it could sever its purpose short term.

I guess I just don't understand the whole fake thing. :? Are fakes created to fill the needs/desires of somebody to have a particular look and they just can't afford it, or are they created to actually dupe buyers who don't know better? Are fakes originally sold to buyers knowing they are fake, more or less being honest with the buyer and on the 2nd had market things start to get fuzzy? Do they work and function for years or are they totally worthless and end up in the garbage a week after you put it on your wrist? Once you get beyond the actual watch it seem utterly ridiculous, to me anyway, to fake a small part that has minimal value like a clasp or buckle.

I don't get it....sorry if those questions are inapproprate too. Let me know and I will stop. Trying to get my head around this whole thing. Nobody fakes cars, fishing poles, guns, running shoes, wine, etc. do they? Why watches? Very puzzling to me. I can't be the first person to be totally in the dark on this can I?

All of the above are known to have been faked - If a manufacturer/country can produce a copy of a high value item for a huge margin, they will!

What about jewellery, clothing, cosmetics, antiques, tools, art - if there's a profit to be made, someone somewhere will try it!
