| Post subject: | b13048 Is it a Fake? |
I received a Breitling watch as a gift and was wondering if someone could confirm if it's a true Breitling or a fake. The back states Stainless Steel Back Quartz Chronographe 100M B13048, with 135999 on the very bottom. The face states Breitling Chronograph 1884. My apologies for the poor picture quality. Thanks for any help provided. |

Yes it's a fake. With that model number it should be an early Chronomat with gold rider tabs as per this link - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... er_73.html |

Additionally, there are only a few quartz Breitling models, and Chronomat certainly isn't/wasn't one of them. |

And thats a commonly used serial number on fakes. |
