Post subject:  First Time Breitling Owner -- Did I Do Okay?

First time Breitling owner... purchased '06 Montbrillant Datora... paid $3,750... since I am a Breitling neophyte, can you please give me your thoughts about (a) on a relative scale, did I get a good deal? and (b) is there anything about this watch that concerns you?

Box, papers, etc... serial numbers match, etc., purchased from a reputable seller. Watch appears pristine and seems to pass all the tests/signs outlined in this forum (real vs. fake), but I would greatly value your input. I love the watch but I have noticed the self-winding sound is a tad bit louder than others (i.e., Rolex GMT II). Is that common with Breitling?

Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer.... I am proud to join the Breitling world and this forum. :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to the site.
Congratulations on the Datora, it's absolutely real.
As far as price that's not too bad. I just checked recent sales on ebay and see they have sold from mid $2500's upward on bracelet.

Thank you so much for the feedback... it really helps. At least I didn't pay state tax.

Sorry gpb75238, I revised and edited my first posts recent ebay sales prices not realizing that you had posted at the time. I initially said most sold on ebay were in the low 3000's but after additional checking I found one that went for ~2500.00. All in all you didn't do too bad. Sorry for any confusion.

As far as noise from the rotor that's perfectly normal.

Welcome aboard.
As Elwyn already said, your Datora is a real deal.
