What are the tell tales? Is it right that the lume on the hour dots should be flat rather than domed here?
The thick red paint on sec hand looks wrong too. And, it looks like it comes with an infamous Crosswind Special fake box and paperwork kit.

Edit: Just realised the date font is iffy too.

Lume is the biggest and most noticeable give away for me along with the fake UTC with the upside down 180. But the real proof is the well known fake serial number of 642347.

Bit more info here.

Thanks, that's enough for me to report. The lume on the arabics is poorly applied too, especially on the "8".

It just goes to show how high quality pics can easily expose the fakes.

Your're welcome.
Another tell is that the Breitling "B" is on top of the bezel vs. the side.
Pearl is crap as well.

And with full box and papers, too. I guess the folks who say reliance on packaging is overrated have a point. Reported.

Edit: Uh, nevermind. He only has a box and a manual, and the manual is for a different watch.

There is a well known kit consisting of fake box, hang tag and Crosswind Special instruction book.
So if the instructions are for a Crosswind Special and the watch isn't, be very suspicious.

Just noticed you referenced it in your earlier post. Honestly, I hadn't heard of it before, but I am well aware of it now.

Still there, and the bidders seem to be buying into it. For that price, they must think it's real.

Top schmop. I e-mailed the seller yesterday with a detailed explanation of how to tell it's fake. I haven't heard word one back yet. Ten to one he knows it's fake and is happy to pass it on to an unsuspecting buyer.

I guess I spoke too soon. The seller wrote to me and said he removed the listing and thanked me for telling him.
