Hello all,

First time poster from Canada. I recently had the opportunity to purchase a Breitling Chronomat from an "aquaintance". I've seen the watch physically and snapped a few pics but I am still unsure as the seller said he purchased the watch from a relative hurt by the recession. I was reading through the forum and hoping maybe the group can provide their 2 cents.

Thanks again and wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday!

I'm no expert but it looks like the font on the date wheel is incorrect, the "b" on the second hand looks off and the "pillow" in the center of the dial appears to be missing. Plus it looks like you small second hand isn't running but the other sub-dials are. I could be completely off with all if this, so I'd wait for more seasoned experts.

Don't over complicate it - just look at the subdials.

Thank you everyone, I didn't expect such a quick response. I totally appreciate your input, I'll let the seller be aware of this issue.

Thanks again,

Jerry

I got ya, but I was also trying to explain to him why I thought it was fake, you know the question would be asked.

Right, to which the answer is that the subdials are totally different from a real one.
