Almost everything about a watch can be replicated, i.e. watch, box, tags/stickers, documents, etc. What criterias do you apply to determine fake or authentic, specifically a SuperOcean Heritage Chrono? |

There are different tells on different models, a lot of it just comes down to experience. Also take a look at Sharkmouth's guide (URL in his signature / profile). The SOH is a very well faked watch, a photo of the reverse showing the crown will help. |

Every fake is different as far as the mistakes. Some, are just plain horrible and the only thing that even looks like a Breitling is quite literally either the Breitling wings or the name itself. Others are far more subtle and look good on first glance but closer scrutiny will reveal characteristic imperfections. There are others that are so good that without a loupe it is difficult to identify the faults but they are still there. There are no perfect replicas. Do a search on SOHC Fake and you will find lots of threads concerning common errors on the watch. If you have any concerns about a potential purchase don't hesitate to post some clear pics on this board for the guys to have a peek at - especially a SOHC. |

The only obvious one I know is a sweeping hand. Would a serial number or model number help? |

The only obvious one I know is a sweeping hand. Would a serial number or model number help? Sweeping hand just means that it's mechanical - might still be fake. Serial number / model number may help on the low end fakes. The back of the caseback on the SOH has an indent next to the crown that is missing on the fake, but I just noticed that you are looking at the SOHC, and I'm not sure if the same is true on that one. The SOHC is a scary good fake, I wouldn't buy without posting the pictures here, and to be honest I would be very nervous about buying anywhere except an AD. |

Apart of lume you can spot SOHC by the ref#, it's A17320 and there should be A13320. Newer ones have correct ref# and improved lume, so I wouldn't buy it without papers. |
