How can you all tell?
I mean i will see the documents before i get the watch to make sure.

Also the debt i am owed is for rent on a property and its around £1k so just need to make sure.

Fakes of the Cosmo are very easy to spot and are not present here. It's real.

BTW you are going to come out ahead on the transaction IMO. The watch is worth more (if the rest of the watch is in good shape) than the debt owed to you.

OK well thanks anyway - its reassuring to know that it is real - i am going to get a new strap for it and probably keep it as its a gorgeous watch.

Also what i would like to do - is to check whether it may be stolen.
Can i take the serial number (is that what it is on the back?) to Breitling and ask them to check it?

Yes. You can't contact them directly any more, but an AD can check for you.

Phoned Mappin and Webb in London and they stated there is no way they can check to see if stolen as its not a unique serial number (which i thought was a bit strange!)

Serial numbers are unique. Model number (A22322) isn't. Contact BUK in Tunbridge Wells, they'll help you out.
