Any pointers on this one - caseback looks too basic, and I'm not sure if the dial looks right, but over to the experts...

It's real, but the N suffix indicated black painted rider tabs on the all steel versions, not sure if the gold tabs should be painted or not.

Possibly a replacement case back?

Here's a link to a pristine TT model with ref 80520-1, not 80520 N.

Maybe, but I believe that both steel and gold rider tabs were available with 80520 N. I just suspect that they were both painted because of the distinction between the N and the -1 suffix. That said, it was just paint and was known to wear off.

Thanks guys - I'm getting a concensus that it's real, maybe 100%, maybe a replacement caseback, which you could live with I guess.

Interesting to see how this one goes...

Thanks

I e-mailed the seller and asked if the Caseback may have been replaced at some stage...

I don't think that the caseback has been replaced. 80520 N is consistent with both steel and gold rider tabs.

Thanks Roff.

May have a punt on this if it stays reasonable..
