Ok, its not Breitling (its Panerai), but I highlighted it to them and they haven't removed it. http://www.cashconverters.co.uk/auction ... raph-watch The listing hints at it being a fake.....not to mention other info ![]() |

That branch is very close to me. I could go down there at the weekend and bring it to there attention, and threaten to report them to Trading Standards if necessary. Can you brief me on the specific details that make this a fake (apart from the Asian 7750 movement) as I'm not familiar with Paneria. |

Interesting selection of watches. I was looking at the Aerospace. http://www.cashconverters.co.uk/auction ... 6-00-watch The third number is 0 but it has an Attestation certificate. I thought that it had to have a 3 for that. The certificate matches the number on the back of the watch. |

I believe it is supposed to be this model, the 019. http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/FER00019_W3120.htm The subdials on the fake are further apart, the crown is incorrect, chrono second hand has a lume dot, caseback appears to be smoother than the deeper engraving of the genuine but is difficult to be sure, the pusher collars are extended on the fake - so it is difficult to see if the pushers are correct.... |

Cheers, I've also posted it on the Panerai Source forum for consideration on there. |

I called in to this branch today to examine this watch. I think the staff may have bought it in good faith and ignorance. Their so-called Omega expert said it was genuine. The box and paperwork are definitely a fake kit bought of the internet. There was a receipt for £5000 from Selfridges, but that doesn’t mean it relates to the watch. I think you’re right 1952 in that it is trying to be model FER 00019. I told the manager that I was 99% certain the watch is fake. Unfortunately, Panerai to not put model ref numbers on the back so was unable to give the definite assessment. I told him to take it to the local AD for confirmation. I did try to get info from the Panerai version of this forum but that was completely fruitless due the low user activity there and the zeal of Mr ‘Paneraisource’. |
