I certainly do not have a trained eye for fakes but isn't the date on this Navi sideways?

No the date is correct. 2 digit dates show up rotated 90 degrees to the single digit. It's one of the tells for fakes. I'm no Navi expert, but it looks correct.

Sharkman is correct. No tri-compax Navi replicas have the correct date wheel with the single digits turned through 90 degrees.
