Well one of my co-workers gave me this watch and I was wondering if this is a fake or not. If anyone could please help.

Strap is fake, I don't know too much about Chronomat Evo's but i've seen that serial number before.

Fake. 'A' prefix on ref number means all stainless steel but this watch is clearly gold coloured.

Wow, You're really eagle-eyed to spot this fake strap. It looks very accurate compared with one of my real ones. I guess the giveaway is that the "Manufacture en Suisse" doesn't align properly, must be imprinted with separate stamps.

As other guys have already stated, it's a fake.
You can also see that there's missing 11th minute in the minute sub and some minutes near cardinals are not shortened.

Hmm looked really high quality to me, even real. Thanks guys, guess ill be buying a real one soon enough.

Yeah, it's not a cheap fake - it's a good replica with an Asian 7750 copy movement. They sell for around US$300. But all replicas have flaws which the old hands can pick up on.

Take your time and you can pick up a genuine Chronomat at a bargain price on eBay etc.
