Dear forum members
A family member has died recently and he left me this Breitling watch, but since i'm not realy into watches i tried to find if this was real and what kind of Breitling it realy is. And what better way to ask it over here, so if you have anything on this watch just leave a comment. Greetings

Well, I'm certainly no expert but the "B" on the large second hand has no definition to it, kinda just looks like a circle and the sub-dials are wrong. I think they should be a 60 second a 30 minute and a 12 hour. And I think the the minute markers on the bezel don't look as crisp as they should.

We were all noobs at one point, I was a couple of months ago but have learned a lot from this site as well as others. The only way you're gonna learn new things is to ask seemingly dumb questions, but we've all asked these questions at some point.

Quartz watches use a battery whereas automatic watches work by magic, I really have no idea exactly how they work, a spring is involved in there somewhere. I'm sure you'll get a better answer soon.

Welcome to the site though, if you're interested in getting an authentic Breitling take a look at the Buy/Sell portion of the forum, there are some great deals to be found.

I had a college professor that told the students.... "There's no such thing as a stupid question... It's just some of you are stupid, and are determined to ask me something." he was a dick, but funny in a really sarcastic way.
