Post subject:  Wrong refrence number in warranty book

I am looking at a SOHC on timezone and the seller has been very upfront and honest, providing references and answering all questions quickly but I am stuck on one issue:

The refrence number on the last page of the warranty book does not match the watch (the refrence is for a superocean, not a SOHC). Furthermore, both the ref. no and the seial are written in pen. I normally would immediately dismiss this as a scam but the printed serial matches the printed serial on the chrono certification paper and the watch....

Is it possible for an AD to hand-write in the ref. no and serial (it has a legit AD info on the page)?

Help me out! I really want to add this to the collection and the seller seems very honest (he pointed out this discrepancy). :lingsrock:

Many (most?) warranties are written in pen so that is not an issue.

My B-1 has been corrected where the AD put the model ref rather than the s/n which I guess could look suspicious.

If the serial matches the warranty and COSC, I would accept it as genuine.

Don't know if it's possible but I would see if BUSA/BUK could correct the error.
