I haven't seen this dial color before, so I figured I would ask the pros. Is this real?

This brings me to my second question.

Other than authenticating a watch....what are the benefits of box/papers on a watch out of warranty?

Do you have to provide papers for maintenance/repairs?

I enjoy the whole Breitling experience (i.e. box/papers) that came with my SOH, but am curious if it is that big of a detracting point for future purchases.

Outside of warranty there is no need for papers. You can also assemble papers with the exception of the warranty. Boxes can be supplied by Breitling or off eBay, instruction manuals are the same.

COSC certificates can be reissued through Breitling - Breitling generally charges about GBP30 / $50 and will likely require the watch.
