B undertake to support their quartz movements for at least 20 yrs after they ceased to be used. The E65062 has the B65 movement in it which was used until 2000. So it's fine until at least 2020. In some cases, if a later quartz movement will fit, they can drop that in instead.[/quote]
Thnaks for the information, makes me feel better about my E65062 in the mail !!

OK officially yes they will repair it but they will update it to the lasts superquartz version and charge you a hefty premium for doing so. I think the price was around $600 for the movement alone.

However you can buy a ETA 988.332 or 988.333 and drop it straight in you will however loose the repetition mins feature but that will cost a lot less than BUSA will charge for the new movement. I think that's why the prices seam to be rising on the older ones as people are buying them up just in case, Even if they cant repair it they will give you a big discount on a new watch so don't sell em off cheap or even worse part them out.

That's not true for this movement.

Breitling has committed to supporting current pieces for a minimum of 20 years beyond the time that they stopped using them, but this piece is pre SQ and there is no such commitment in place. In all likelihood it will be fine until at least 2020, but you cannot rely on that.

I stand corrected.
