You may well be right - I can't find any definitive comparables with a date on the 11th. I would like to see this watch with another date that includes a 1.

my verdict stands.

gen on top, source http://www.breitling.com/en/models/supe ... /index.php

all other SO 44 I found (including this site here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... e_237.html ) have neither
serif 1s, nor the round minute markers on the bezel between 60 and 15, have a look at the 5 in "15" on the bezel.

so, either Breitling has changed date wheel font and bezel without telling anyone - and without publishing the changes anywhere, or the OP watch is fake.

OP's watch may be fake, but the same date wheel is on Colt Auto A17380, SO A17360, SOSF A17390...
They have serifs just on the 11th, but on all other dates which include no. 1, don't have it.

I find it odd that nobody on this forum has that watch that can just check??

No, that is neither the OP's watch showing a different date with a 1 nor another example showing the 11th.

@WatchFred, I agree that the watch is fake, but the original logic of the serifed 1s on 11 may not be the reason - as bnewbie says that it not that uncommon when other dates have non serifed 1s. The comparison that you provide clearly shows the difference in the bezel font.

ok, me again, quite confused now.

learned to trust ade113 so finally clicked on the link he provided,
with rather confusing results:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=38302

now we have an apparently authentic SO44 with dots & know it has no serif on 16,
but still do not know how that "11" might look. have pm'd member falcon4311,
hope he can send us a pic w/ date set to "11".

still dislike the 5 in "15" on the bezel, but .....

3 versions now:
top: Breitling.com
middle: OP
bottom: falcon4311

I can assure you that it's real, mine came from an AD. I'm guessing that maybe Breitlling changed the font, the circles from the 60 to the 15 are correct. The OP has a real watch, it's exactly the same as mine.

Sorry, but I don't accept that yours and the OP's are identical - no doubt that yours is real, but look at the 5 of 15 on the bezel - way less space on the OPs than yours - especially the bottom of the 5.

Wow, good eye Roff. I didn't notice that. And you can see that my buddies watch that I posted is the same as mine. That is so close to what mine looks like, I never would have noticed that small detail. But the 1 font is the same so they did a very good job if that's a fake.

So I'll resolve the issue - is this watch currently for sale at Tourneau? Is the exact name Superocean 44? If so, I'll go there tomorrow (Thursday) and take a picture of the 11.

I've always wanted to be the Breitlingsource hero. Now is my chance :cheer:

The other thing I noticed is the 60 at the 12:00 with mine and the first one with the blue sweep hand (the one in question) is drastically different. I really, really have my doubts about it now. Man, a guy has to be very careful now a days.
