Hi,

I have been lurking for a while and am thinking about my first purchase of a Breitling Aerospace. I am looking at a limited edition Combat Air Wing (Tornado) watch from April last year and wanted your opinions both on if you agree with me (I have been reading all the FAQ's etc) that it looks genuine and also on wether the value is right for a less than 1 year old un-worn mint watch?

Thanks for your help.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110493778484&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The price advertised is £1200 with a buy it now of £1650

Any assistance appreciated.

Cheers,

Hi as has been posted before there are no really good fakes of the aerospace and any you see having the single crown layout is the real deal.

Thanks very much for the confirmation its real any views on value for the watch, as no-one is bidding it looks like its just over half the new price for a mint un-used just under 1 year old. Is this good fair or expensive?

Any views on the Limited edition influence. Does it make it worth more or less due to perhaps a more limited number of people interested in it?
I know brietling do lots of these so-called limited editions via a UK jeweler so their not exactly un-common.

Cheers,

PS there are replica Aerospaces out there, A quick search on Brietling Aerospace limited editions brought up a company doing replicas which I won't advertise here doing fake Aerospace Advantages with blue or black faces. No round the side and back pictures on the site but the front didn't look too scabby.

Front picture attached

Cheers,

Cheers,

I think the watch in the pic you posted is real. Often the rep sites will post a pic of a genuine and then sell you something entirely different. As far as price i'm sorry I couldn't say. Perhaps someone else would have an opinion.

The Tornado Aerospace on eBay is 100% real. These limited edition dials don't command a premium over the standard dial and in some cases can reduce the value eg if it's a company logo. The exception to this, of course, is the always in demand F-4 Phantom Spook dial which is worth at least twice as much as a standard dial

As for replicas, there are NO remotely accurate fakes of the Aerospace (or B-1, Emergency etc). Any site which has a "replica" Aerospace which looks like the real thing IS the real thing. These are the worst kind of sites as they don't display the junk they ship out but pictures of the genuine watch.

Despite the seconds hand, this is the best Aerospace fake I've found. At least the LCD displays are silver on black, not black on silver.

Thanks for all the great info.

Even as a newbie having read up the FAQ's etc even I would have spoted the fake you posted a mile away.
Second Hand.
Way too many buttons in all the worng places
Rouned corners to the LCD displays
etc

Thanks for all the info and opinions, it is much appreciated.

I do not agree with regards to dials value on these watches. They do make the watch slightly more worth, as they are a rarity, and funnily enough there are quite many people who wants a model that is a bit unusual, different then the rest. I know a lot of dealers buying these models, and selling them on with a premium, because you are unlikely to see many other similar watches with such dials.
