I just purchased a Breitling Top Time model 2002 on ebay. Based on sales record of the seller I was feeling confident in the authenticity of the watch. After reading a post on this form which stated that 80% or more of the vintage Breitlings on ebay are fakes I've become very worried. I made my payment earlier today and the item is to be shipped within the next 48 hours. I would appreciate anyones help in determining if the item I purchased is a fake.

It should be fine - I've dealt with Portobello before and he knows his stuff. He's put in the description that the watch has been fully serviced, so the chances of a fake slipping through are minimal...

Still, for peace of mind, a quick stop at a friendly AD would do no harm once you receive it.
