Hi,Im looking at getting a preloved Ti Seawolf for work/play-its going to get knocked around.I am not worried about box/papers.
I dont want to pay big bucks for these reasons..I just want it to be 100% genuine :lingsrock: .
My question is. Are there any accurate replica/fake Ti seawolfs that i have to worry about?
cheers

Yes. There is a very accurate ti Seawolf copy out there. From memory, the only tells were in the small "Officiellement" text at 6: some tiny variations, and possbly a tiny variation in the date font. Here is a pic of the genuine:

If you buy online it will be very hard to distinguish. I was going to suggest asking Breitling to check the serial (if you can get it), but they aren't that helpful in this area, I have found.

My advice, unless there is the full set of correct paperwork, don't buy private.
And if you buy without papers, make sure it is from a reputable source. Try to get a valuation certificate out of the deal.

The good fake caseback is incorrect with the depth at 300m and not 3000m.
I have read on rep sites that the reference number is incorrect on some as well but I have not personally seen that.

The old Ti Seawolf was one of the most accurate replicas of it's time (about 5/6 years ago).

As Elwyn says, the depth rating on the case back says 300 rather than 3000m.

On the dial, the easy give away is the depth rating 3000M/10000FT is in italics.

There may be other tiny flaws but those are the ones to look out for.

The replacement replica of this model has a terrible pearl which shouts fake! Case back has the ref# E13360 (which is the Chrono Avenger), not E17370 and says 300M.
