Hey Guys,

I recently acquired my first Breitling, a steel navitimer on a bracelet with a blue face. As you can imagine, I absolutely love it and I am in the stage where I can stop staring at it :-)

The reason I am posting in the replica identification area is because I am concerned about the box that my watch came in.

I did not purchase from an AD, but I did purchase from a reputable jeweler that is an AD of several similar brands that was able to get the watch for me from an AD that she has a business relationship with on the East coast of the US. I live in a West Cost city where my AD did not have the watch i wanted in stock, was pretty rude and told me that it would be about an 8 months wait.

The watch seems entirely authentic (a little conformation from you guys wouldn't hurt though :poke: ), and I saw the jeweler peel off the plastic before she sized the bracelet for me. So, I am 99% sure it was brand new. However, it didn't come with everything I believe it was supposed to...

I received the certification certificate with the correct serial number on it, the warranty info with the serial number on it, the manual and the cardboard sliderule. I didn't get the outer yellow playing card box type thing that those can all fold into. What I did receive was a white outer cardboard box with a Blue leather watch case in it. Both have Breitling written on them along with the logo. The Blue leather watch case has Breitling's name and logo both on the top and the inside and is lined in cream fabric. The case contains a cream colored cushion for the watch to be wrapped around.

I am attaching a picture of the inside of the box and the watch. unfortunately I don't have a picture of the outside of the box yet.

Thank you in advance for any info you can give me about this box, is it real? Have any of you ever seen one like this before?

Thanks!
-Chris

Can't comment on the box but the watch is real.

:yeahthat

Don't immediately recognize the box from the inside pics, and the description sounds odd, but nothing at all wrong with the watch.

Agreed.

Order a new box from Breitling if you're unhappy.

I agree with everyone.

I thought Breitling switched to Bakelite cases sometime in the mid 1990's.

Gents,
Thank you all very much for your input!

I am glad that you confirmed my new watch to be genuine!

Also, I am now more curious than ever as to why it did not come with the typical Bakelite box (which I would have preferred)!? :?

Here are some more detailed pictures of the box. Maybe Someone will recognize it and be able to provide me with some info? Even if you don't maybe some of you will find it interesting...

Thanks,
