If I bought a new Breitling, I'd have no money to go diving with it...

So, I've been watching ebay for a couple of weeks and reading up on the net.

Now, I'm generally ebay savvy, I've bought and sold a lot of stuff on ebay, just not a Breitling.

I did read through all the "how to tell a fake" articles here.

It seems relatively safe to buy from one of those professional watch sellers that have thousands of positive actual watch sales feedbacks and are offering all the papers and what not...

I'd love to know any pitfalls with those dealers, or with older watches that don't have all papers, but some Jeweler's certification of being authentic...

I'd pay the dealer types with credit card anyway, where its not that hard to yank the money if you got duped.

If there's some good way to be able to purchase from a private seller, that would be nice, of course, since their auctions end up more in my price bracket.

Just a few days ago, I let one go a nice one, that ended at 451 euro, cause I wasn't sure and it had no papers.
