Does anyone know of a watchmaker near Chicago? I dropped off my SuperOcean to the dealer. It is running a bit slow and if I leave it on a winder it will run dead in a few days. If I keep it on my arm, it'll keep going. Dealer told me that I need a complete overhaul for $850. I'd just like to get another set of eyes on it and possibly another option. It was my first nice watch, and my wife bought it for me for my 30th bday, so I'll never sell it and I want it to be correct...but $850.....I had to catch my breath after the call. The winder is set correctly. The Avenger I have next to it runs right on time. |
