Post subject:  Who has bought from a boutique?

Hey guys I just ordered a Navitimer gmt from a AD. I wanted to buy it from the boutique store in Sydney however I got a awsome discount at the AD and boutiques don't do that.

Any way can people share there experiences they have had? What did you guys do go in look at the watch then what? Get it fitted or have a coffee? Did they unbox the watch for you or what's it already done? What about he stickers?

Also people who have bought from a AD would love your stories!

Enjoy guys.

Hi,
I just purchased a brand new Chronomat GMT 47mm for a local Sydney AD last Thursday and found their service to be exemplary. I already new what I wanted to purchase but I found the whole experience very enjoyable.

I can't comment on a Breitling Boutique as I have never purchased from them.
Enjoy the experience, purchasing a Breitling is one of lifes little pleasures

The member COZ in here is a manager at the boutique in NYC but I don't think he posts much on here anymore.

I got my watches from ADs and my wife bought straps from boutique. I guess it depends on the staff working there. Most ADs that I have come across have average service, and normally those more friendly and with exceptional service are the more senior ones like their managers. So far I am most impressed with the boutique as their staff are professional and will still go all the way to help you try the watches that you want and engage in a chat with you. I guess they are are used to people walking in just to try their watches and end up buying from ADs. My wife, even though only bought straps from the boutique, she still got a cap as free gift and the manager keeps her updated about events that the boutique organizes. We went for the emergency 2 launch last year and got another 2 caps as free gifts.

Overall ADs give discounts and boutiques provide the more expensive free gifts. However that is not convincing enough to make me buy a watch from a boutique because we are not talking about a few thousand dollars of discount and not a few hundred. Even though their service is good, I don't see really significant benefits of customers buying their watches there except the "VIP" treatment during the purchase. They gotta think of more convincing ways to make consumers willing to part a few thousand dollars of discount to buy there.
