Hi,

First time posting on the forum. Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone on the forum as I've learned a lot researching via this place.
I have wanted a breitling chronomat for a few years now and decided it was time to buy. I had my heart set on a black dial gmt model with pilot bracelet.
I had planned on buying from Andrew Michaels in the UK but on arrival in New York today saw a Chronomat GMT R that had just arrived from Basel. I didn't even know it existed. It was beautiful. It's got a red second hand and black markers on the bezel. The price was slightly higher than the standard GMT from Andrew Michaels but I was offered some additional straps to sweeten the deal. In the end, I had the watch on pilot bracelet, 2 different rubber straps and a brown leather strap. My partner was gifted a beautiful breitling leather purse. All in all, a great experience and most importantly, I love the watch. I'll try and post pics when I'm on my PC.

Thanks All for the kind words. I LOVE the watch and can't stop looking at it. It's beautifully crafted. I think the push button clasp with 1mm incremental adjustment is a work of art too.
Embarrassingly, I haven't even removed the protective film from the watch just yet for fear of it getting scratched. It'll eventually need peeled off.
I'm busy reading through the different sections of the forum. It's a great source of information.

Absolutely. Until you do that you're still trying it on, and not wearing it...
