Post subject:  Jomashop.com STAY AWAY

I had a horrible experience with this seller. I called about a specific Breitling and there was a lot of confusion and it took several calls to get the order right. Nonetheless, i asked about the return policy and they said 30 days minus the shipping. They did not mention that all orders over 4K included an 8% restocking fee. Well i got the watch and I never opened it and requested an RMA. They sent that and then informed me of the 8% which I stated I was not informed. It is on their website but i had called and asked specifically. Moreover their website is still somewhat misleading because the special order section is at the bottom of the page and they specifically told me the watch was in stock and did not require a special order.

So i sent it back and their email informed me a refund in 3 to 7 days. I waited and waited. NOTHING. I had to contact them multiple times. They kept telling me the refund was submitted etc etc. After almost a month they said they did not have my cc number. Funny how they had it to charge the watch.

One more thing that is was unbelievable. I posted a review on resellersrating.com, which requires an order number. Resellersellers pulled the review because they said Jomashop told them that I was not a real customer. So i emailed my receipt and cc charge and they reposted. As a result, I think there ratings are higher than what is real because how many people will go to take the time to do what i did.

I tell you there is so much confusion there and they are not straightforward. I have also read of disasters with watches delivered that are defective -- try to get them fixed.. Anyway why take a chance with them.

Thanks for sharing your experience and sorry to hear about what happened :(

I always advocate going through an AD you have a good relationship with. My AD has always given me prices lower than Jomashop and for reasons like what you discussed, I find these companies to be a far riskier bet. 8% on 4 grand isn't a small chunk of change. If it was the wrong item they sent you, have you investigated a charge back? For $320, it may be worth initiating, especially because it also sounds like they didn't fully disclose all terms and they were not clear on policy from the start. If you paid with AMEX, I can tell you they will surely do a charge back and side with you.

It sounds like you have a legit case so hopefully they give you a better resolution than Jomashop. G'luck!

Did you ever ultimately find the watch you originally wanted?

YEs I went with an IWC Chrono Pilot. The cc company denied my claim.
