Looking at a Chronomat Evolution from Authenticwatches.com.

Does anyone know anything about them? It seem legitimate but for $8k it is worth asking.

Should I buy direct for a $120 discount over ebay.

Thanks

Good company overall, but be aware that they polish off serial numbers unless specifically stated. That evo you linked to doesnt have serials.

Notice the difference with this description:

A specialty watch like this would be a hard choice for me. If there was a return policy with no fee, I would consider it...only if the serial numbers were intact.

I've heard AuthenticWatches.com has some pieces that have numbers removed an ome do not. I have never heard of an instance of watches from PrestigeTime.com or Interwatches.com having the serial numbers removed.

I'd stay clear from the one you linked to. Without serials it'll be hell trying to service the watch through the regular network. Otherwise, I wrote a feedback post on them, it's in the feedback section. Good luck!

There's a few reviews/opinions on Authenticwatches on this forum - I'd recommend doing a search on here and having a read before buying from them. Opinions seem to vary!

And as the others have said, you'd be advised to steer clear of anything with the serial numbers removed. Your options for servicing and resale will be hugely compromised.

Thanks for the info.

The one listed on ebay does have the serial numbers, so I may head in that direction.

They do have a 14-day return w/ a fee.
