While looking for authenticwatches (a legit seller) for another thread, I stumbled upon authenticwatchesforsale.com, which seems to be formerly known as finewatchesforsale.com or genuinewatchesforsale.com. Their prices seem to be too good to be true and evidently they are! Some research suggests these are scam sites posing as "legit" gray market sites. Here is how it allegedly works - you place an order and are told your credit card did not go through. You are then directed to wire funds via Western Union. The end result, of course, is you pay twice and get nothing in return. Even if you aren't stupid enough to wire by WU, you still have to deal with the credit card charge, which actually DID go through. FWIW. |
