They are a 'family run' business in New York, but aren't accredited AD's for any particular brand as far as I can see.

I've seen stuff on their website at reasonable prices, but are we looking at a 'grey market' dealer (apparently they often don't supply 'official' warrantys with their watches, but substitute their own - which tends to suggest they are).

Any info would be gratefully received - perhaps any members in NY know of them?

Cheers!

Mike

Gray market. Note their own 2 year warranty and that all watches include "certificate of authenticity...users manuals." They don't refer to Warranty Manual or Warranty card because that could bust the ADs who provide them watches.

Always be careful with the gray market dealers to make sure the listed watch is actually "in stock." Coments like "usually ships in 2-4 weeks" is another way of saying, "We'll take your money NOW and then see if we can locate the watch you want."

Dear Roff and Sharkman,

Thanks as always.

Any obvious reason not to get accessories from them, though?

They advertise on their website a few bits (bracelet and straps) that I've been looking for, and even accounting for potential UK Duty and Shipping, seem very reasonably priced.

As stated, it may be that they then try and source the accessories, and I get messed around for a few weeks, but if they do come up with the goods, is there anything else I should have to worry about?

Thanks as always,

No reason if they have them.

Call in advance and confirm whatever you are looking for is in stock and try to spot buy on the phone to avoid long waits an disappointments. Best case...find a reputable seller or AD who has what you are looking for :lingsrock:

I'm not talking bad about this particular gray market dealer, just saying that you never know how long the wait can be and what is actually in stock. They have multiple extremely rare pieces listed 'for sale' on their website which they definitely do not have.

I've purchased from them and had good experiences.

I bought a Blancpain from them a while back. Price was so good that I had to use them. They delivered as promised as well. I ended up selling the watch and the new buyer had warranty issues, which they took care of. It was in my name so I kept getting notices of the problems, and apparently it took them multiple times to get the watch back in working order.

Another time I found a different Blancpain on ebay through them and after I bought it using BIN they sent me a message saying that the price was wrong and that they wouldnt be able to sell it to me.
