I don't think you're buying from Amazon - I think it's one of the grey market dealers advertising through Amazon - like Yahoo shopping.

Nope this one is Amazon direct.

Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

I think the problem with buying from amazon (or via amazon) ist that the warranty is through amazon and not with an AD.

For your watch it says specifically: "Warranty Type: non-authorized".

Interesting - didn't know they did that - sorry, can't help though as I have no experience (at least for watches).

Which is scaring me off the watch. I dont actually care that much about the waranty and I am willing to take the risk and have it serviced on my own on the off chance that a problem develops within the first two years, but if the serials are scratched out that means Zenith will refuse to fix it completely so I am stuck with a very pretty paper weight.

PrestigeTime, AuthenticWatches and Jomashop all have examples for similar prices. Prestige & Authentic sometimes have serials intact, Jomashop always do.

Wow  , that's a great price Altair. I'd have to know about those serials first though. Is there any way you can email them? (I'm an Amazon novice personally).

I use Amazon ALOT, love their service. having researched the sources Roff provided it looks like I am back at square one as they don't offer international shipping (damnit)

Will let you know Driver when they do get back to me. Though I am almost absolutely sure their watches do not have intact serials.

Gemnation claims to ship worldwide, but not sure about their serial number policy - I think a couple of forum members have used them.

The only thing I've ever bought from Amazon has been DVD's.

Keep us posted if you pull the trigger Altair.

Comments:hello,

I want to order this watch:

http://www.amazon.com/Zenith-Chronomast ... 55&sr=1-21

But I see that the warranty says non-authorized. I dont mind taking a chance, but is the watch with intact serial numbers or do you like some gray dealers scratch out the serial numbers? If the serial numbers are scratched and the watch eventually needs servicing Zenith will not touch it and I will be stuck with a very nice looking paper weight.

Please let me know if the serials on the back are intact and that the if the watch has been modified or does not contain all paperwork.
