I just ordered my first Breitling, a Superocean Steelfish, from George today. I won't receive it until Monday, but with his reputation throughout this forum, I'm quite confident that I will be pleased when it arrives. George was great to deal with, and seemed like a genuinely nice guy in general. I PM'd jnelson3097 telling him that I was interested in a Steelfish, and he informed me that Govberg had 1 left. I called George, we spoke for a bit and, within a couple hours, I had a Fedex tracking number in my email inbox. I actually PM'd FEAR first, since I kept seeing his name and jnelson3097's name all over the forum as reputable people to contact for purchases. Unfortunately, being a discontinued model, FEAR didn't have the one that I was looking for. So, with that said, thanks to both jnelson3097 and FEAR. From the feedback that I've seen, I felt confident going to either of these guys to make my purchase. Thanks to George from Govberg for a super smooth transaction and a nice price on a great watch (although I don't have it yet, I have seen the Steelfish in person several times now, and I believe that I can get away with saying it's a great watch. ![]() Jim |

I just received my watch today and felt the need to post more since I don't believe that my original post did justice to my experience purchasing from George. First, the watch is beautiful - perhaps that isn't a good adjective for such a masculine watch, but that's the best I got. Second, I'm really impressed with the package that I received. The box was packed within a larger box, surrounded by foam peanuts - a good, professional packing job. Along with my watch, there was magazine, a hard-cover book detailing many different brands and models of fine watches, and a hand-written thank you note along with my receipt. I realize that these things probably didn't cost him much (or maybe they did?), and the hard-cover book is a publication of Govberg, but those things, along with the hand-written thank you note, certainly made the transaction feel more personal. George definitely gained a repeat customer the next time I'm in the market for another watch. Thanks again, George and jnelson. |

Congrats on finding probably one of the few remaining SFs. I've done a few deals with George, always great to work with! Any pics coming? What color did you get? Enjoy. |

Back from Vegas. Here's a couple pics. The thickness of the watch makes it look a little bigger on my wrist in the pics than it does in person, but I do admit that 44mm is probably about the biggest watch that I could get away with wearing unless I was trying to look like a gangster rapper. ![]() |
