Has anyone dealt with this dealer?

http://www.bernardwatch.com/

Is it safe to buy from there?

Thanks

I have actually visited their office in Austin. I was looking for a specific discontinued model they were advertising. Wasn't sure who they were so stopped in while traveling to Austin. I had e-mailed them questions, etc. and they said watch was working and running flawlessly. On my visit I noticed the bezel wouldn't turn at all, froze up as I call it (Navitimer model). The person dealing with me told me the bezel wasn't suppose to turn on that model (???). I then wasn't so sure there wasn't something else wrong with it, so I walked away. Just one experience, but probably my last with them.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreacited.

I am thinking of my next purchase (a discontinued model) so I am not sure what the best way to proceed would be in order to find one. I won't make the purchase until the end of the year but I know Bernard carries those models. Maybe its better to ask on this forum or consult different forums and wait for the right opportunity. Its just that I have a hard time wiring that much money without knowing if the watch is real if I am buying from an individual. That is why I was thinking of going with a site with a money back guarantee...any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Thanks

IMO it's safe to buy from Bernard. I've seen members of another forum I belong make purchases and haven't heard anything negative.

I used to look at Bernard.com all the time. I just found this site which I am more excited about since I will hopefully soon convince the wife that a Breitling is necessary. I work with a few guys that have purchased watches from Bernard and are very happy.

Sweet! Sounds like its a trusted site depending of course on what kinda watch one is looking for.

Good luck with the wife and getting a Ling...my question is how did you last this long without one

If she really loves you, she'll let you have one :cheer:

She's coming around. I still have to decide which one I want. Really like the complication 19s (mark vi and navi montbrilliant olympus) We're still kind of newlyweds and in a downtown condo so a house is priority number 1 but a new Breitling is a close second.

Oh man, the Montbrillant Olympus is one of my favorites. Shame its no longer around :(

For sure, a house is more important...skip paying your agent comish and get the watch then :superman:
