Hi Everyone

Had some really bad news last night

Back in November my girlfriend ordered a Navitimer World from Delicious Watches as a wedding day gift for me for our wedding in June of this year. At the time of placing the order she was told that to secure the watch at the price they were offering at the time she had to pay in full and to ring them 6 weeks before the wedding and they would post it out to her.

Because this was a surprise present and she knows how i am really hard to surprise she asked for no paperwork to be sent out so she doesn't even have any reciepts

Well 6 weeks before was a couple of weeks ago and it looks like the place has gone, there web site just says "coming soon" and telephone number just goes to answer phone.

Shes absolutley gutted and we had alot of tears last night.

Has anyone heard anything else about this site? Anyone know for sure if they have gone bust.

She knows now how silly she's been by giving them all the money (£3,975) but it was the sales staff there that told her to do it.

Any more info anyone can give on these people would be greatly recieved

Kind Regards, Jon

Not sure that they have gone bust, but as soon as I saw the name I knew what was coming....

If your fiancee paid by credit card go through them, if not get trading standards, the police, the local authority, etc involved. It seems like pressure works with these guys.

Thanks Roff,

This really is a horried situation, i feel so much for Amy and trying to cop with it over the last few weeks on top of all the other organisation for the wedding.

Through my research this morning i did find a post on a review site that there offices are now empty.

Amy has started the ball rolling on the charge back but the bank isn't too hopefull at this time.

If antone else know any more infomation on this company i.e. full names of directors i would be grateful. i know through my reseach this morning that there is an Ian and a Matthew.

Kind Regards, Jon

I know that it's the weekend at the moment, but try the local council - as a business they must be registered with them somehow - not sure how it works in the UK now. They may not give you details of directors, etc, but they'll certainly provide them to the police.

Cheer Roff,

Will be going to the police station first thing monday morning to see if there is anything that can be done.

Amy has done a great job trying to sort this out even contacting our local member of parliment, i'm so proud of her.

If there is anyone else out there that knows any more details of this company i would be truely gratefull if they contacted me through PM or on the open forum.

Kind Regards, Jon

Hi,

Just to let you know Amy managed to get her money back from the bank as a charge back.

She also got me a Navi world for the wedding day from an AD and only paid £200 more than Delicious watches so anyone thinking of going grey Market check with the AD first. They do give good discounts

Thanks for everyones help

I'm glad that this was resolved, still sucks that you and your fiancee had to go through it, but at least it worked out.

Congrats on a great ending, congrats on getting a beautiful watch, but even more CONGRATS on your marriage. Best Wishes!

BTW...good advice on grey market. AD is the only way to go if you want a brand new watch.
