Paid in full for my SA black face on Dec 21,2009 and still waiting.

I was told first week of Feb delivery ... NO SHOW..

Then first week of March ... NO show ..

Then first week of April..... Take a guess.... NO SHOW !!!

Now they tell me end of the month..

Honestly if I ran my business this way I would be in jail ...

If this thing doesnt show up by month end I will be speaking to consumer protection. I mean they have been collecting interest on my $$ for close to 5 month's ... Should I call Breitling to tell them how their AD is treating customers that own 4 of their watches??

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I would not stand for that. Money back and report them to Breitling.
I would expect more for a ABD no matter where in the would they are based.
Demand your money back direct from the shop and do not let they put you off by saying it will be here next week. In the current economic climate all paying customers deserve respect, not treatment like you are getting. Make a stand...

Almost 4 months for a watch with lots of lies sprinkled in? Let’s face it, the AD probably knows you as a nice guy who will believe whatever they tell you. It’s time to attack and shake them out of their state of apathy.

Call BUSA and explain this in the nicest way possible. Let them know you are a repeat customer and chose the SA over another brand. Now you are second guessing everything. It’s just like when I call DirecTV and say “Wow, I never had this problem with cable”….The mere mention of another brand will always get the ball rolling.

Then I would demand SOMETHING from the AD. If not a price break then definitely an alternate strap – anything to acknowledge this shell game you have been stuck playing. Focus on the lies and shifting timetable. If they blame BUSA, ask to speak to someone who is accountable and won’t blame others/offer excuses.

Good luck. If all else fails, go unload on them by name in every watch forum you can find!

The black dialed super avenger is constantly on back order with BUSA. So naturally, there is a little waiting period. I was told 4-5 weeks but saw mine in 3 weeks. There is no excuse for lack of accountability or excuses from an AD. Call em out on it and get something for your hassles.

Best of luck

:guns: LA SWISS Fairview mall.

Everytime I go in to check on the watch or call they try to blow me off...

The sales women even said to me when I asked "when is the definate arrival date?" -
" well you are welcome to your money back".

my reply was I dont want my money back after 4 months.... :x I want my watch.

The problem with Grigoros (which owns La Swiss) is that the principal's approach to business is completely ignorant to the needs of customer service. The managers that they hire are of very varying quality and they encourage competition between their stores at any cost - their is a culture that is almost enocuraged of managers 'telling tales' on one another.

Additionally, they pay very badly for regular staff and have a lot of low quality workers who don't care about the product or people.

I have an exceptionally good AD at La Swiss, but if she isn't available I won't deal with anyone else at that store, and I won't deal with other stores anymore - I have no experience of Fairview Mall. I've hooked some people here up and if they have been to the store when my AD wasn't available then they too have been disappointed by the way that they are treated.

Unfortunately Grigoros has a monopoly in most markets - and they are also the Breitling distributor which makes competition tough - Time and Gold have to buy their Breitlings from La Swiss' parent company.

I'm happy to continue providing contact details for my AD, that's about the only way that I can help try to ensure good customer service and product knowledge through La Swiss. I'm back in Canada this weekend and will try and get in touch with her to see if there is anything she can do, but as it's a different store there may not be.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing of course, but as a lesson to learn, probably best to only put down a small deposit to give them a little more incentive to get the watch in - my AD never asks for more than 20% on an order.

So I called today again to get an update and they now tell me there are more delays because the volcanic eruption in Europe and they cant tell me when it will be arriving. ( Of course she was rude about it ) and basically blows me off and says she will call me back which she wont.

How do I proceed? I am beyond pissed.
:x

Call BUSA. Tell them what's going on and get the email address of the person you speak to. Put the whole chronology on the email and strongly request a reply email. Tell them it's THEIR AD so ultimately it's their responsibility and their problem. But don't rant at them. Be firm but polite. Tell them you expect BUSA to do something to make this right, the first step being getting you the watch, the second step being getting you something else.

The AD should be your advocate and it's a shame your salesperson isn't in your corner. Here's how it should work. I called my new AD today to see what Navitmers were in stock. I mentioned that I would be waiting to sell my Datora, hopefully on BS. She asked what I was listing it for and said "let me call you right back." I got a return call in 30 minutes and she APOLOGIZED for taking so long. They offered to buy the Datora even though it was purchased from my "prior" AD AND for $500 more than I told her I listed it for on BS. Then sold me the Navi at 25% off.

BUT (a big but) when I bought my first watch from her, I picked a time of day (mid day on a work day) when I knew the store wouldn't be busy. I made a point of getting to know her - before, during, and after the purchase. I asked about HER and let HER talk. These folks aren't used to that. It's not only good for developing a working relationship, it's enjoyable.

So when I returned to buy another watch we talked some more. As in at least an hour. As I sat there she emailed the owner who was at Basel and told him to make sure I got something special. Well then the bomber showed up. Today she was talking about trying to fanagle tickets for the Reno Air Races and this was after the purchase. I know her background, her boyfriend's name, her work history, etc. She knows my background and could tell you the name of my daughter's college.

The point is, taking time to let some one talk about herself works wonders. And if a salesperson seems uncomfortable with that, don't make the purchase - come back at a different time and pick someone else.

I'll keep ya posted on the Air Races....and whether her boyfriend is joining us.

BUSA don't give two hoots about Canada - different distributor. And the Canadian distributor (per my earlier post) is the company that owns the retailer.

Well the story gets better.

I emailed Breitling Canada to complain and about an hour later I get a call from the store saying that they expect the watch Thursday or Friday now.

Then this morning I get a reply email from Breitling Canada saying that they appologize for the delay and that they expect the watch in May...

So which is it ?? This Friday or May?? I do not even know what to think of this company anymore.

Hopefully you'll get lucky, getting one on Friday and then a free one as compensation in May. Well, it never hurts to dream, does it?

I really hope you get it on Friday rather than May.
