Hello Gentlemen, New member, longtime visitor. I’m looking for an Avenger Chrono M1 yellow/black subs on rubber and have found one on Jomashop. I’ve read past posts here re Jomashop; they appear to be trustworthy, but I have a couple questions for you experts: - Since the M1 has been discontinued for some time I would have thought that the new Avenger Chrono M1’s would have been flushed out by now? - Of the 7 M1’s listed on their site, one was configured as I like but there was no photo. However, one of the others did have a photo (yellow/titanium bracelet), and it has a number of differences: one of the chronograph hands seems to be missing (both at 12 position?), the date window is different, the scale surrounding the dial is 1-100 vs. 0-360degrees, and it is missing the regatta feature. Should I be worried or is this just another/older version of the watch? Link to the 7 watches is below. Thanks in advance for any input… http://search.jomashop.com/search?asug= ... &IMAGE.y=0 |

Thanks in advance for any input… http://search.jomashop.com/search?asug= ... &IMAGE.y=0 Welcome. In terms of the pictures on the Jomashop site, then there's nothing to worry about. There always were two dial configurations for the M1 - the regatta style that you see on the black dial picture, and the standard version that you see on the yellow dial model. Incidentally, you can't get both versions for any of the colours. For example, the yellow version always the standard dial, etc. Jomashop are in my experience (and my experience is entirely due to one of my mates buying from them) fine to deal with. They don't send out the warranty card or the COSC cert, but the latter can be replaced if you send the watch to Breitling. Here is a link to an old post of mine with the details - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2865&hilit=jomashop HOWEVER, just because my mate had a good experience, it doesn't necessarily mean you will by default. And irrespective of all of this, at the end of the day, they are a grey market company, so you run all the same risks as usual by not buying from an AD. Additionally, if I was you I'd check with them first (email or phone call) to see if they really do have all those M1's in stock. You are absolutely right when you say they are discontinued, so there is every chance they just haven't updated their website. |

For the sake of completeness, here's a recent thread on Jomashop - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14944 |

I've not been around so much over the last few days so I hadn't seen it. Well, I guess that goes to illustrate my point about there being no guarantees of great service just because I know of one person who had a good experience. As always, buyer beware. |

I missed that thread too, thank you for highlighting. I think I'll just keep an eye out for a gently used unit. |

posting.php?mode=reply&f=7&t=15019# I would love to buy an m1 from an AD (for a reasonable cost) but it's been difficult locating one, especially with a blue dial (new color choice). The search is half the fun? Not! I need to post in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum here. |
