I recently purchased a watch I saw on timezone.com, a Breitling Navitimer Airborne, from Mark's Time (http://www.markstime.net/) aka Horology Hoarder aka Rich Reichbach. Initially, things went pretty well. He was pleasant to communicate with and shipped the watch quickly.

I got the watch on a Friday at about 11:30am. I tried it on briefly and then put it away so I could go meet my wife for lunch. I didn't get to really try it again until Monday. That weekend we went to the beach one day and I worked on the house the other day. So the first day I really tried to wear it was Monday. By mid morning Monday, I wasn't comfortable with it and took it off. It was too small for my wrist.

On Tuesday, I tried contacting Rich to see if I could trade it for another watch. By Wednesday, I was asking for a refund. In terms of business days, it had been 3 days. At first, Rich told me that I had 3 days. Then he decided he didn't want the watch back, so he changed it to 72 hours. His site also says he'll take it after 10 days with a restocking fee. He refused to do so.

Basically, he changed his return policy in the middle of the deal. I would be very careful in dealing with him. He changed the rules of the game in the middle.

MOst dealers by law have to give 30 days even if its done on the net and he is not allowed to refuse if he does sue him and you will win.
