For the record.......

It is recommended that the movement be removed for a full case restoration because of the risk of vibration damage to the movement. For the type of work that is required in this case it will not be necessary to remove the movement, and regardless, any AD with a watchmaker on site can remove a movement, it's simply a case of removing the crown stem and then the movement. As long as they have the ability to pressure test after replacement there isn't an issue.

Roff, Thanks for the clarification. I'm also sorry, I should have never made an unsolicited comment on this thread. Kindly just delete my comments. Thanks.

You don't need to apologize ShawnCris, you were only making a suggestion. As I said a couple of times, mfserge is very intolerant. There was no need that mfserge calls you an idiot.
Roff do something with mfserge. It's not the first time... he thinks he can do whatever he wants and treats people like s**t.

This will be my last post on this thread because I am loathe to keep putting TTT a thread with a negative accusation in it's title where the issue was offered to be resolved before the original post, the OP suggested the watch was beyond repair, and now we know the seller's remedial offer was all the watch required all along.

As for

, the proper way to be helpful would have been a PM to the OP, not something that suggested the resolution was insufficient. Hey, it happens, we all have posted stuff we would rather we didn't - the curse of instant communication. ShawnChris stepped up and apologized. Major Kudos!! I had to ask a Mod to delete a childish post about another member I put on here almost a year ago. It happens.

Count, your post has no proper purpose on this thead. If you have an issue with a member that you believe a Moderator should address - PM the Mod. If you have an issue with me - PM ME.

This situation was resolved to the satisfaction of both parties. LET - IT - GO!

Gentlemen,

I have heard enough from everyone on this and seeing as no one seems remotely interested in posting anything relevant I will lock it.

Not everyone is going to get on in a community of this size - deal with it.

Misinformation was provided and I corrected it as soon as I could.

Calls to 'Ban Him' are ridiculous, and if that was grounds for banning then the person making the request would have been banned long ago.

Personal attacks on members loosely veiled as supportive comments for other members are as transparent as they were intended to be and have no place here.

It's only been about a month since I had to refer to admin's 'a few courtesies' post several times in a week - I don't want to have to go through that again.
