This is a bunch of horse crap.. I get my name run through the mud for backing out on buying his watch, for valid reasons....yet this phantom person doesn't have his name posted anywhere??? I'd like to see his name posted today for everyone's protection or for you to retract your Ridiclious comments about our experience!
Although I has stated before that I was done with you, I will reply to you one last time. I will say that you can go back to the thread, and find that I do not call anyone a scammer lightly, in fact took the time to make that clear in both instances. My comments where about your character, and they stand. You are rude, have no respect, and dont carry yourself very well. That is evident by your manner in a good number of your posts.

And for the last time, if you had issues with dealing with me, I have no problem with that (in fact I wouldn't deal with you anymore) and you could have saved me the trouble by not constantly badgering me by PM. And now throughout the forum.I also find it quite funny that you think that I would actually heed you words

Let me make it abundentely clear that I will not reply to you on any more posts, through PM, or have any more interactions with you, unless you care to post in the appropriate thread, I have noticed that you enjoy sidetracking my threads, which I have to say falls in line with your general behavior.

Interesting turn of events indeed Altair. I think you've been more than fair, as everyone before me has also attested. I'm with you that he doesn't sound like a scammer (although that could be the point) and you've gone above and beyond what I would have done. I sincerely hope the situation is resolved quickly and painlessly. Sucks when this happens!

Yeah Tim, the thought did cross my mind. But better safe I guess.

I have 2 things to say then I'll never bother you again. First, I don't understand the point of this thread and I'm honestly surprised that nobody else here has asked for this guy's name. Without his name the only thing this thread accomplishes is a bunch of people telling you what a great person you are. Whether or not you believe him to be a scammer is irrelevant at this point. You have shown that he has tried to get money from you after he broke the watch that you sold him, I think that alone would make a lot of people not want to deal with him. Unfortunately since we don't have his name someone else may wind up going through the same ordeal that you have.

The second thing I want to say is in regards to your last post. According to what you said you started a thread about mfserge because you don't like his character, that seems to me to be an improper use of the Feedback forum. If you don't like somebody fine, you don't need to start a thread bashing them just because you're mad at them that is childish and uncalled for. If he did something that was improper or unethical then I understand, but backing out of a sale isn't either. I'm sure that many people will disagree with me, you seem to have many followers on this site, but frankly I don't care.

You don't need to tell me that you're going to ignore future posts from me as I will be sure to never post in one of your threads again. Have a nice day, oh and I like the new JLC.

Personally I think the whole lot of this is getting childish. I can understand both points of view from mfserge and Altair but see no need for anyone else's involvement. I would imagine most people reading these posts over the last few days may be thinking 'let them get on with it'. I have seen no point in getting involved up until now but this has been said before, this site is expanding in terms of membership so not everyone is going to agree.

It's clear to see the two members involved will never 'see eye to eye' so lets just get on with having a freindly and sociable forum! :D

Cheers

I think the point was quite clear in my initial post and the title even, I found myself in a situation I was not sure how to deal with, and asked for the communities advice. You may analyze that to whatever extent you wish.

As for people telling me I am a great guy, I think that's just a polite way of telling me I am a doofus

I suggest you read the post you are referring to. I have had numerous interactions on many boards, and have always left feedback on any serious interaction I had. So far I have had over 15 positive deals, got stiffed out of 8K once, and had a few unpleasant encounters, all reported. As for this instance, as I had said in this thread (please do read the thread you are referring to) I am sure to post my reaction for every deal I conduct, which includes this one, once I have made a final judgment, and can either, in good conciseness, recommend dealing with a person or not.

Again the purpose of this thread was quite clear I would think. But maybe you wish to read something into it that is not there, I honestely do not know.

You seem intent on being hostile for some reason, and I suggest you relax. As far as I am concerned, I have no issues with you (should I?) we just happen to be on one of the most tolerant, civil, and relaxed forums on the internet, and I am not speaking about just watch forums either. I think Andrew's advice is sound, and I suggest we follow the lead of the more senior members of these forums, as for "having followers", That is not accurate. I don't think I am obliged to explain my behavior to you, but to clarify, this is a community of people brought together by a passion, some of us have been here for a while and have conducted ourselves in certain way on this board as to indicate our intent, I think you might be looking for an alternative motive here, but I will not be baited in releasing any information, whether it pertains to myself or others, until I deem it fruitful. You may continue to act in whichever way you deem acceptable as far as I have any say in it (which i don't), and are more than welcome to post in any of "my" threads.

I couldn't be 100% sure he was a scammer. He was initially very nervous about the sale, and I think he was expecting a fake, hence his comment which he has retracted.....

.....I think he is just a nervous and confused kid, but just cant make the connection to him being a scammer.

I guess you are in a much better position to make that call then the rest of us Altair, as you have all the email trail and the history, etc. It was just on the face of it from your first post that made me think he was a definite candidate for being a scammer, but from what you're saying now, he sounds more like he's another one of these people who buy an expensive watch without having the first clue what they're really buying.

But either way, you definitely did a very decent thing - and I mean that genuinely. Hopefully it's all done and dusted now.

I suggest you let the admin and moderators worry about people's character and the tone of their posts. You have taken the feedback forum as a way for you express you dislike for me because our deal fell through; that is not what the spirit of the feedback forum is for.

BTW, I have never been rude to you in any of your posts nor have I ever addressed you in your posts; since when did you become the voice of this website to call people out on their behavior? Your feedback should be based STRICTLY on our transaction, not your observations of my posts in other people's threads. As for sidetracking your threads?? That may be one of the most pompous things I have ever read and a complete utter lie. Don't make accusations that you cannot sustain.

Fellas!! OK, EVERYBODY -

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company
(That's the song I hear)
I'd like to see the world for once
(Let the world sing today)
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace throughout the land
That's the song I hear
(That's the song I hear)
Let the world sing today
(Let the whole wide world keep singing)
A song of peace that echoes on
And never goes away

Tell the guy to send the watch back BEFORE he gets a refund.
