As mentioned in the other thread, the issue of whether the service has been done or not is largely a moot point for me as I’m budgeting for one in the purchase price.

This thread is for feedback on sellers.

I gave feedback on this seller based on my experience of them and the others I had spoken to. In terms of service, communication and end result I have no reason for complaint (yet).

If I was buying a watch from a private seller I would have no cooling off period if I discovered the watch was not keeping time - I do with watchfinder.

I've just bought my Avenger Skyland from Watchfinder, no issues, watch was as described and fast delivery. It was of course a used model and one they were selling on behalf of a client, so there was room for a little movement on the price. All emails were answered quickly and telephone communications were excellent.

If I were buying new, without a shadow of a doubt I'd have to go on past experience and use Banks Lyon, they are one of the best AD's I've ever used.

Thought I'd share my first experience of Watchfinder UK - not a good one.

I submitted a form for a price/valuation to sell one of my Bs on commission and query a p/x option on 28th July. They acknowledged my email immediately and promised a substantive reply within about 3 days. After 3 weeks and 3 chaser emails from me, I've heard nothing at all!

They may not be interested in my deals but you'd think they might have had the courtesy to tell me....
