There's no point in getting very defensive unless you are mtlbentley.

If I can prevent members here from getting SCAMMED especially by "individuals" who hides under multiple identities, this thread will be worth it!

Great shout about mtlBentley, but Alan doesn't have anything in common with that username.

It was the other member who mentioned that Alan M sounded like mtlbentley.

I find it very strange that someone would get overly defensive about this thread and start talking about their "own issue" about being banned at WUS when this thread was simply a warning to other members to be extremely careful in dealing with this individual "mtlbentley" based on my experience in dealing with him and some other information that I got regarding him from another watch forum site.

I have no intention of commenting on moderation at WUS for fairly obvious reasons, however......

Alan M is most definitely not mtlbentley. Moderators here have access to tools to check IP addresses and the physical distance between the respective postings is huge. Yes, I know people can mask their IP address, but really, don't go there - they are not the same.

I was asked by a member who shall remain nameless in a PM to ban mtlbentley and I will not do it without hearing both sides of the story. I will, and have allow for any feedback to be posted and I don't want to lock this thread unless I have to. It's a valuable service and if mtlbentley choosed not to defend itself then that in itself is a comment.

However, I will not allow unfair suggestions to be made about honest members like Alan M.

He was banned from WUS for reasons that had nothing to do with any transactions - that's a fact, it doesn't need debate, and it will receive no comment from me.

No more suggestions about Alan M in this thread please, they will not be appreciated. Alan M has some sales threads and feedback on transactions with him is appropriate for its own thread in this section, that's all.

Thanks for the clarification. His initial post in this thread was a bit confusing, glad that's cleared up.

This thread has gotten side tracked from its original purpose because of some irrelevant comments. This was basically a feedback from my own personal experience in dealing with mtlbentley. Being a new member to this forum, I was hesistant do this and waste my time but was encouraged by other members to do it and at the same time share some other information that I am aware of as to forewarn other members.

There are various reasons why I simply wont do any business with mtlbentley and this individual being banned at WUS is one of them.

At the end of the day, it will be your own decision whether you want to deal and continue to do business with him.
