So I had some time to kill and what better way than to try on watches.

Tag Heuer day-date carerra. I have been wanting to check this model out since I have a soft spot for Tags and it didn't disappoint. It has a good size and weight to it and I would much prefer it to the similiar style of the Omega speedy pro.

Next was the just released Tag Aquaracer 500m. I was a bit skeptical of this in pictures as it looks like it borrowed design ideas from a couple other brands. In person, however, it works. The date window on the left side is interesting along with the vertical lines in the dial pattern give it a nice look. I could do without the cyclops and external HEV though. A good diver for around 2 grand.

The Omega Planet Ocean. Not much new to say besides I still want one but I am still happy I chose the Steelfish over it. I will say the AR coating is so thick it looks like it was laquered.

The Rolex DeepSea. Great looking watch. The bracelet looks tiny and that is my only complaint. I would still prefer the '09 Seawolf in black, blue, and yellow for the price of 1 DeepSea.

Nice observations. Where in Iowa are you and what AD did you go to?
