So how many Zenith fans have we got out there? Admin has a couple, and I know there are a few of you who are keen on them.

I've just come across a Defy Open Chronograph for sale, and all I can say is wow! That got me looking at more Zeniths, and I'm also very impressed with the Defy Xtreme and the Chronomaster XXT Open.

This is typical, really. My finances have only just recovered (and by 'only just', I mean literally today) from my last purchase, and immediately there's something else grabbing my attention!

If anybody feels like encouraging me to ruin my bank balance by posting wristshots of any of these models, please go right ahead :)

I too would loke to see some Zeniths on some wrists. These watches are beautifull and I would like to own one someday.

I think I may have mentioned this before, but the Zenith collection makes a great match for those that appreciate the styling of Breitling. The finish on the movements and case are right up there with the best of them. The El Primero Movement is quite respected and trusted and I believe has even been used in Rolex at one time. I am strongly considering going the direction of Zenith with my collection next. The Chrono Master Open or Grande Date are at the top of the list, but the Grande port-Royal Open is calling me as well. Not to mention the Defy Classic Open in Gold & Steel with brown croc strap is just amazing too. I can look for hours at the catalogs and I try a new one on each time I visit my AD. 8)

I say go for it Otto if you have the funds. I feel like with Zenith you are getting a lot of watch for the money, but this is just my young opinion. Keep us updated with what you decide to do. Take care!

I am putting away pennies for a model from the Extreme Defy line -- lots of pennies required, however. :(

A Defy Classic Open has been on my top 5 shortlist for ages now. If I could find a vendor with one that would accept a trade of my Le Mans, that's one that I'd definitely buy like a shot.

The El Primero movement has often been cited as one of the best chronograph movements in the world, and I'm certainly inclined to agree.

I like a lot of the Chronomaster line too, but the Extreme models are too err... "extreme" for me. Too much use of titanium, too much PVD-ing, and a look that reminds me too much of something like a G-Shock.

To be honest I think Zenith are doing the things that I wish Breitling would've done. Namely, fantastic in-house movements in great sized cases (46.5mm on the Defy Classic I like), with superb styling and attention to detail. I mean, what's not to love!?

Very big Zenith fan. Have a deposit on a Chronomaster XXT Open Grande Date - just annoyed with them because the price went up 25% due to the US / Canadian exchange rate.

Would be very happy with a few more, and as my collection expands would consider an Extreme if cash allowed. Also a big fan of the MEga Port Royal and of course the Academys are just gorgeous, if somewhat beyond my means!

Agreed about the Mega Port Royal too. It's probably the only completely rectangular watch around that I like.

Thanks for the comments, guys, I think you've expressed a lot of the reasons why I'm liking them. I think if I were to go for one it would probably be the Defy Classic Open in SS, or the Chronomaster XXT Open (Grande Date if possible - definitely with you on that one, Roff). I didn't mention the Mega Port in my earlier post, but I found some wristshots of it on TZ and it looks great.

siglo vi - thanks very much for posting the wristshot.

Still got some work to do in convincing myself that I should buy another watch, however, and I don't think there are any Zenith ADs in Australia yet... It might have to wait for an overseas trip.

Resurrecting this thread to prove that not all of my enquiries are purely hypothetical. Due to my ongoing financial irresponsibility, I now have a Zenith on the way... :D :D

Hoping to get it some time next week, and yes I'll post some pics.

Just looked at the Chronomaster- I'm in love. I never felt the need for a classy dress watch until now. One day...
