The Hamilton is probably using the Valjoux/ETA 7750 movement which is notoriously loud. The Rolex Subbie by comparison is notoriously quiet! I'd say it's perfectly normal and yes you will get used to it very quickly. In fact you may even grow to love it like the rest of us! Just think of it as your watch "breathing"!
