Some of you may recall that I ordered a PO 42mm at the start of Feb. To cut a long story short, after weeks of delays and excuses, I cancelled it yesterday. Waiting for the refund to appear on my card now. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise - with the credit crunch and a forced 10% pay cut... Maybe I'll just go to the AD and buy it at full price?!! Which is what I'd suggest to anyone...knowing what I know now ![]() |

Sory 1952, I missed the original post. From whom did you order it? Can this be added to the seller feedback section? Sorry about the watch. Disappointing! ![]() |

I ordered it online from Delicious Diamonds (www.deliciousdiamonds.co.uk) as it was £500 gbp below UK retail price. I'd read consumer reviews about them and the majority of customers were satisfied. A few said that they were very unhappy with the long delays and lack of communication etc. Just before I paid, the salesperson said it would be through in 10 days. A few days later, the MD calls me to say that it would be delivered at the end of Feb (the 28th). "Fine ok, its only two extra weeks" I thought. Feb 27th: I call them to check where it is. "It'll be here in 48hrs" was the answer. Mar 2nd: Nothing in the post. I call them to check where it is. "It'll be here in 48hrs" was the answer. "Its definately on the way" Mar 5th: Nothing again. No contact. "It'll be here in 48hrs..." I tell them that I'm a little peeved with this excuse. "We can assure you that you will be happy by early next week". Mar 9th: You guessed it, Nada. One last call... "oh you've been calling a few times....the large shipment is stuck in Customs, but will be through soon" I tell them that I've had enough of the waiting and waiting - remember, the time I was quoted was up to 10 days! They agreed to cancel my order and refund the full amount. I'm still waiting to see the refund, although its only been a day since cancelling. |

The company you mention has a bad reputation around the bazaars, you did the best by yourself to come out of the deal. £500.00 off list is no big deal either. I walked into Ernest Jones just before Xmas and bought a 45mm PO on a bracelet for £1600.00. New, not used and without even pushing hard....£5/600 off current list. Plenty of great deals on watches from AD's and the High St retailers just now - spend your money there ![]() David |
