hello all!

i no there was a big thread about how castco had breitling rolex's ect but i went to a new one that opened a few weeks ago and found:

4 tag heuers
1 breitling
3 rolexes
4 omega's

and......

2 panerai's! a automatic 40mm 1 and a friggen ferrari panerai! now the only place that i have seen this watch is in harrods in London, not even watches of switzerland in london had it.... and COSTCO DID??? how odd! i asked the guy how costco could get such a thing and he said ( quight rightly ) cosco is the 4th biggest retail corporation in the world.... so they can pretty much get what they want

this leads me on to a question.

What do you guys think? i love it! its a fer00005 http://www.panerai.com/s_ferrari.xpd?id ... goria=5944

Well they can pretty much get what they want as long as they find an AD prepared to break the rules

I'm thinking that Panerai wouldn't be particularly happy to discover that their watches are available in CostCo - and they don't mess around with ADs that step out of line.

What I meant to ask is how much they were selling them for. Being Cosco, I figure the price would be pretty good.

Around Seattle (where there are many many Costcos, as Costco originated here) they have quite a good selection of luxury watches. Almost every one has at least one Breitling, and many have at least one Cartier Men's and one Women's. I have noticed, though, that although their prices are quite good, I think I could probably get about the same price from an AD if I called several and negotiated. The advantage of Costco, though, is that you can return it for a full refund for any reason (although make sure you ask before buying, because I have gotten several different answers about the length of the return policy...their website says forever, but one employee told me 1 year but they would service it for the lifetime of the watch).

The added bonus in the U.S. is that if the AD is not in state, you don't pay sales tax (whereas at Costco, you do).

I saw a blackbird at costco yesterday. I think it was $5799 on a leather strap. I dont know if it was deployant or not.

Since discounts at ADs are not necessarily common knowledge, I think the average consumer who sees a watch at costco for a pretty decent discount would be quite happy to pick it up there. My Costco seems to always have a different Breitling, so I know that they definitely sell.

How much does it say the Rolexes were? I'm trying to read the tag. Does that say $2000?

I bought a car battery from costco today for $59.99 with a 100 month warranty and 36 month replacement guarantee. Sears wanted $109.99. I cant think of anything I wouldnt buy from Costco.

Man I wish I shopped at your Costco. They've had a pair of Omegas, a Concord, and a couple other misc decent pieces in the case for months. No turnover in the stock, no Breitlings, bah. Only person happy with this situation is probably the wife. No temptations.
