Well it just has not been the same around here since he "went PAM", I for one miss his tongue in cheek posts.

Lets hope he sees this and graces us with a visit

Nah, he's a defector - he knows where we are, but he's a lost soul, seduced by the dark side!

No in all seriousness, I actually had a few chats with him a couple of weeks back on PS, and he threatened to drop by here, but he's not yet made the journey as far as I'm aware. I think his collection is a little sparse in terms of breitlings these days too!

Would be good for him to drop by as he's a good guy.

Agreed - we need some more of the 'old school' back. Acceldebt shows his face for the first time in ages a few days ago so Sporty should come back too. We can still cure him of his Paneraitis

People always seem to loop back around even when they stray a bit. I recently revisited and got active with a couple of forums I joined back in 2001.

Roff,

Paneraitis is BRILLIANT. I couldn't have put it better myself and I thought that Ling Men were BEYOND being seduced by Panerai's. Well, at least Driver8, you and I and a few other old timers haven't been led astray .

:yeahthat I know a lot of people really like the Panerai's, but they really do not do anything for me. Is there something special about them that I am missing? Altair just posted a thread where he stated he finally got his grail watch. It was a Panerai that looked just like every other Panerai (or very nearly). Help me out here. :?

Way to thread jack guys

With panerai, and most watches, you either get it or you dont. I very much do, both with my beloved "Wall Clocks" as they are called here and cherished "BrightBlings" as they are called on other forums.

I can certinely see where PAMs could seem very similar to you, you have to see them in person to apreciate the differences and even then, you are not guaranteed to love them.

As you kind of approved the threadjack with your last comment (in your own thread) I feel free to post my own thought. :)

For a long time I didn't get Panerai at all, as said above I thought they were all looking too similar. However, I'm starting to change. For the last 7-8 months they have grown more and more on me and I guess I'm starting to get really fascinated. I guess I'm not surprised at all if one of them joins my watchbox before this year is over.

No one needs to hear my thoughts on Panerai (again), but I do say - we need to drag Sportback over here kicking and screaming.

Sure he's a misguided soul, but the place is already looking up after acceldebt's return and we need another of the old guard to return.
