Hey Watch fanatics.... I love watches just as much as you do and I own Omega Seamaster, Breitling Chrono Superocean, Seiko Kinetic, Rolex Submariner .... even a CASIO! But, I have since taken notice of this watch Ebel 1911 Discovery Chronograph.... this watch is really catchy! Anyone know anything about EBEL or own one?

Generally, Ebel has had a bit of a "woman's brand" image over the years. Their designs are generally very curved and not overly masculine in appearance.

However IMO the new Ebel Tekton (https://www.worldlux.com/cgi-bin/naviga ... rono%20139) is going some way to change that image as it is much bigger than previous offerings and has quite a nifty in-house movement. I've handled it in person and it's actually a very very nice piece. If they carry on down this current path, they could well start to appeal to more men than they have to date.

The model you provided a link to is more manly than many of their models, so that's a good thing! It's not powered by one of their in-house movements : it's another ETA 7750 powered piece and I'm not sure on their level of modification. However it is Chronometer certified, so at the very least it's using the best level of ETA movement as the base.

This model looks quite Tag-like to me - which means it's not my favourite design(!) - but at the right price it's probably a decent enough piece.
