Folks, I'm thinking of buying a new PO 42mm. Black bezel, black & white dial. Anyone here owned one? How does it compare with Breitling in terms of quality? I've always liked the PO, and Omega seem to be reasonably priced at the moment. I found an online retailer at 500 gbp less than the high-street ADs. Should I stray from the Ling stable or not? I have all the Lings that I want you see, and don't feel like buying another. |

oh yeah... a definite must! I love my 45.5 PO. I see you have a chrono avenger... if you can wear that, then get the 45.5 PO. the 42mm one, while measured at only 3.5mm smaller, appears a LOT smaller than the 45.5 try both on at an AD. lume on a PO is the best out there!!! good luck. |

Hi Thanks for the feedback - most appreciated  It seems that you're very pleased with yours! What do you think of the PO's AR coating (durability)? Reading some of the previous threads about PO's, the AR was not as good as Breitling? I feel that the 45 might look too big on my due to the plain dial... |

I second the 45.5 PO! The 42 does seem pretty small. It's a great built watch. You should check over at the WUS forums as I have seen a recent private sale on the 45.5 Black/white version you are looking at for a decent price. Good choice! |

not sure about the AR but mine seems good. then again, I sorta make a conscientious effort not to bang it into anything. you will love the PO, not to decide on the size. what size wrist do you have? |

6 3/4 in wrist... no problem with the Avenger, but I'm still undecided about the 45 PO. Looks like I'll have to try them both on! Cheers |

Definitely yes.  I love my 45.5mm PO, and it probably gets the most wear out of all of my watches. The 42mm is a great watch as well, I just have a preference for larger sizes. In terms of build quality and durability of the AR, I can't separate it from my Steelfish, although both are less than a year old so they haven't exactly been endurance tested. |

I have a 45.5 PO chrono on the way to me, so i say Yay! I'm a Breitling fan big time, but the PO really caught my eye in the Black bezel orange number combination (BBON). I'll report when I get my anxious hands on it. |

my vote is for orange bezel. it is tastefully done and I like that its a metallic orange, not your standard flat dayglo orange. I have had all 3 versions of the non-chrono and I stuck with this one. mine's a 45.5 and my wrist is 7 1/2" |

The PO is the nicest looking current Omega IMHO. The only thing that bugs me with Omega is the fact that they still make pin-linked bracelets. If only they'd move to screw-linked they'd be right up there for me. |

You'll never have a failure like a screw falling out. I think that screw bracelets only appeal to the bunch of us that are buying and sizing watches on a regular basis, but for those that buy a watch, size it once, and wear it for 15 years, you can't beat the security of a pin/collar bracelet. A properly sized pin/collar bracelet will never fail. But I have to admit, I'm always a bit happy when i see screw links as I can wear the watch in a few minutes instead of close to an hour (which includes crawling around on the floor looking for the collar that fell/popped out of bracelet while sizing). |

Here's my 45.5 with black bezel and orange numbers, on my 6.5 inch wrist:  Since I took the photo I've changed the strap for a bracelet. I like the bracelet, it's chunky and feels solid, makes the watch look quite a bit more substantial. |

I have a feeling that I'm going to be a voice in the wilderness here, but...... I don't like them. There are some very nice Omegas, and the orange bezel is very nice, but I have the same problem with this that I have with Panerai (and I'm in the minority there too) - the numbers look like they were drawn by 6 year olds. It just doesn't work for me. |
