No brainer - the open every time. I didn't like the chrono at all until I saw it in hte flesh and it does look better then, but of the two I would go for the open in a heartbeat.

Same as me.......... but I'd go for the 46.5mm Open (the one in the picture is the 43mm model)

Putting the two together I prefer the Open. I like being able to see the movement from the front and the back of the watch, kind of like a tourbilion display in some watches? I bet this watch looks smashing on the wrist at 43mm. Both are very nice and I am going to get a closer look next time I am at the AD.

I looked over and handled the Zenith Defy Classic Open El Primero yesterday. The 43mm version on a rubber strap. The finish of the watch and movement are incredible. This watch just moved up to the top of my must have list. Thanks tozzleozzle for bringing this to my attention. :D Now to just figure out how to get it?

My AD gave me two different cataloges yesterday as well. My AD called them the "mega-logs", because of their size. The cataloges are very nice. Zenith truely makes some fine time pieces. The history and style of the watch makes for a great addition to any Breitling collection IMO. Can't stop thinking about about the Defy Open now.....Dang!!!

I also got a hold of the new Breitling for Bentley Chronolog, which is quite nice as well, kind of like hard back book.
